Affiliate disclosure
Some links on this site may earn us a commission. None of them change what we recommend, and you never pay more.
How the site earns
fishing.info is free to read. To pay for the research and the hosting it may earn in two ways: affiliate commissions on retailer links, and, later, display advertising. As of the date on this page no affiliate programme has accepted the site and no ads run; the product boxes you see are plain recommendations with a link to the maker or a retailer.
What an affiliate link is
When a programme does accept us, some retailer links (for example to Amazon, Bass Pro Shops, Cabela's or Tackle Warehouse) will carry a tracking code. If you click one and buy something, the retailer pays us a small percentage. The price you pay is the same with or without the code. As an Amazon Associate we would earn from qualifying purchases; the same applies to any other programme we join.
How we pick products
Every recommendation on this site is research-driven: manufacturer specifications, published tests and owner reviews, weighed against each other and stated with the reasons. We do not test products ourselves and we never say we have. A commission rate plays no part in the choice, and a product we would not recommend does not appear because it pays.
Where you will see it
Product boxes carry a short note that links may be affiliate links. This page is linked from the footer of every page.
